I think Notes is a great idea, John! I plan to use it in much the same way, to get to know other Substack writers, and also my subscribers. Its grest for maintaining contact informally, and having a bit of fun! 💕
I’m still very foggy with ‘Notes’ but I am going through the motions as it feels like it has great social potential. It seems to be like Twitter, but without all of the things I have never liked about Twitter. There’s a bit of the old Instagram potential there too, without us all going bonkers trying to be influencers.
Haha! Yes absolutely! I left Twitter in December, it had degenerated so much under its new management, but to be fair, was already heading that way. I still have Insta, I have unfollowed the 'influencers' and now follow just the people who genuinely inspire... who are mostly the people not trying to sell me something, but are pretty incredible in what they do. Notes could be fun. Lets try it and see. We csn easily opt out if its not for us. And of course we still have our own private Chat... which I love the idea of but have not started yet. Have you?
I never got into Twitter at all and have just had short dabbles in Instagram. Private chat here I have been awful with here so far, and must do better. People have responded and I have been very slow at chatting back. I’m still putting my attention to articles when I can, but I have been loaded with other distractions lately. I look forward to see how Notes rolls. Yes, it will be fun :-)
That's why I haven't started it myself yet... too much going on. I want to introduce more content but can't commit to it as yet. When I do it, I want to do it properly.
