Food & Remedies

Most important, Elder leaves and uncooked berries are quite toxic. I have become quite ill, as a child, thinking I could pick and eat elderberries like blackberries. But cooked Elderberries are safe and still quite a popular ingredient in pies and jams.

Elderberry wine, elderflower cordial, and dried elderflowers are all available in shops…
