Ash Wood As Fuel?

The density of Ash wood makes it an ideal wood stove fuel, and sadly an easy to obtain fuel here due to the availability of dead Ash trees struck down by ‘dieback’ disease. 

The Latin species name for Ash is Fraxinus, and this translates out as ‘firelighter’.

So far in this series I have mentioned the traditional Winter Solstice Yule Logs…
