Coppicing Birch?

Birch is no longer a popular wood for coppicing due to current limited uses of its coppiced branches compared to other broadleaved hardwoods. Birch was grown abundantly for coppicing to cut long thin branches and make 'faggot' bundles, that are narrow poles tied together.
